In the Non league news, Burscough's Chris Lloyd has withdrawn his backing for the club quote from Burscough site "he is still pursuing the ground sale / new ground and with that the chance he could still make a bob or two out of the club? I am a bit confused by the last part. Lets be honest if there is not a change of owner or a new investor found pretty quickly there will be no need for a new ground because BFC will by that point no longer be in exsistance. What a sad state of affairs!" sad state of affairs indeed where will that leave the Unibond Nth/south with clubs like Hyde, Farsley, Hucknall all having problems and one space remaining in the Uni Prem, could it be 3 up ?

Hard work running a sports organisation these days. Too much money at the top, and everybody assumes that a lot filters through to the grass root level, which in most case it does not. I think lottery money should be used to bail out sports clubs in financial dificulties (under strict guidelines), especially as it is usually central to a local community. Good luck to the Linnets.
