Did Lancs 2nd X1 get to play their game at Skem last season,or did it fall foul of our "summer"?

Hi Gary yes we eventually got a reduced-over game in. The match started around 3.00 pm and it was reduced to 24 overs per side. Worcestershire were more positive than Lancashire from the start, and full deserved their win. We had about 150 attend, which would have been a lot more only for the weather. Overall I think that Lancashire/Worcestershire were surprised at our facilities (although disappointed at the rain-affected wicket). Still, we'll learn from that, and look forward to getting another fixture. Not many better places to be on a warm summer's afternoon with cool pint, putting the world to right, and watching a game of cricket. Not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoy it (more than footy these days).

The website is coming on a bit more now, as I am fed more information. Have a look on: skelmersdalecricket.org.ukAnd of course, if you have any information that I can add, please send it through. Cheers
