After the London Lord Mayor's show against Halifax on saturday, It was somewhat Skem Carnival time for Woodley, at least for the first half. Inept, woeful, disorganised and lacking in any real class. Woodley well deserved their two goal lead. A double Half time substitution of Ryan on for Adam Wade and Houghto for the lacklustre Burke, invigorated the side and away we went. 5 goals in thrilling, sharp, incisive attacking football a pleasure to watch after the turgid first period. The pick of the goals was a Whitey header from Toweys corner, from my vantage point Whitey attacked near post, leapt like a salmon hung there, turned mid hair and bullet headed into the far corner. Worth the entrance fee alone, the first half there were calls for money back.!! MoM ...No one in first half, spectators for enduring the performance, second half Woolcott came to life. Duffy just nick it with his willingness to run all night, he even made a late charge when we had 5 and was fuming when he didnt get the ball.
