A big thank you to the CLUB for letting the supporters club get on with things behind the scenes. I.E. the race night at a neutral venue.

As was said in tonights programme note's "out of small acorns grow big trees"

Can I just say "Its about time"
the supporters club started off to raise much needed cash by various means, a lot of ideas where bandied about, some have seen the light of day, no doubt other ideas will be brought
forward.

Its just a pity at the beginning the club took a negative view and were resentful of anything which was put forward. All ideas came from Supporters Club and NOT as individuals.

If they had continued with the Goalden Goal and other ventures allowed or shown a bit of backing
This weeks coach could have come from Supporters Club Funds.
Why it might have stretched to the play-off Final coach.

There was never any resentment towards the Supporters Club, but there was a little bit of debate about aims and targets and how they could be achieved multilaterally.

People are never going to agree all the time, so it was important that we all understood that.

The goalden goal was a bummer from the start, because it actually took funds away from the raffle, and whilst it gave people a choice, it didn't always sell out. Therefore it was decided that we would pick and choose the matches it would be sold on.

Also worth consideration was the fact that people felt awkward when coming in, and in some ways felt obliged to spend more money, and that wasn't fair. People don't like being bombarded when they enter the ground.

As for the 'Supporters Club' and the people that are running it now, I've personally found it much easier to communicate with Graham, Tony, Chris, Lorraine and others, and I think they accept that I've got a few rough edges, but there's no hidden agenda with these guys. We all share the same thing in common, and that is we all want to be part of a winning club.

As for Saturday's coach, that indeed has been covered by the proceeds of the race night, and we are very grateful for that.

The Supporters Club with flourish under the stewardship of Graham and Tony, and they want people to come forward and join their venture and make it even stonger.

A great club, with great supporters - and that's what we all want to hear!

All the money raised would go to Skem Utd FC
AND
I only want what is best for Skem Utd FC

I've got no problem with you Kev at all and never had mate.

Everybody is welcome at this club, and all entitled to their opinion, even if they've watched us for just 90 minutes!

As for the hidden agenda, I was just pointing out that they haven't got one, and nor have I.
