Just thinking last night....is this the poorest English squad that we have taken to a World Cup in over 40 years  ? Where have all of the RELIABLE English goalies gone? Banks; Shilton; Clemence Where have all of the GOOD English attacking full-back gone? Armfield; Neal; Cohen; Hughes (Emlyn, not Frank); Wilson Where have all of the GOOD English Centre-Backs gone? Moore; Labone; Butcher; Charlton; Hunter; Todd Where have all of the CLASSY English midfielders gone? Ball; Brooking; Robson; Gascoigne; Peters, Currie Where have all of the PROLIFIC English goalscorers gone? Charlton; Keegan; Owen; Lineker; Shearer; Greaves; Channon Where have all of the BEST English managers gone? Ramsey; Greenwood; Nicholson; Catterick; Mercer.  I'm afraid that our one hope, Rooney, left his best form behind whilst giving everything to the Mancs chasing the Prem League. Heskey is never a goalscorer and is struggling to get in his club side. Our two full-backs cannot defend. Our two wingers are admitedly fast, but just headless chickens. Mr Beckenbauer was pretty close to telling the truth. Oh, doom and gloom - put the flags away for another 4 years..  |

The lot of them shhould be made to walk home !!
However there must be something seriously wrong in the camp, you just cant !!!! put in a performance like that when you are on £100,000 a week !!!!!
Any one in a normal ? job would get sacked !!!!!!!!!11

The thing is though that if England can scrape a few half decent performances together then they could end up winning the thing,as there's hardly anything to beat(Brazil aside that is),Argentina will get let down by their defence,Spain will struggle particularly if Villa get's injured,as he's on his own up front.
It's been the worst World Cup that I've ever seen,far too much diving and play acting,unless those spineless gits at FIFA ever decide to use video evidence to combat it then the game will only get worse.

James: 8, Kept us from a hammering of Hungary proportions Johnson: 5 Not good enough for Liverpool, not good enough for England Terry: 2 Just a thug. Covered at Club level by Carvalho Upson: 2 Would have been a (-) if he hadn't scored. In the poorest West Ham defence in ages. Cole: 6 Hard to look good with sh*te like this alongside. Milner: 4 Sussed out - one trick pony. Lampard: 5 Did he come on for free kicks, only? Berry: 2 Defensive midfielder, my backside - slower than me. Gerrard: 5 Not a good enough captain for Liverpool, certainly not for England. Still, hard to carry england - just like L'pool. Defoe: 3 Will review my tape just to confirm that he was playing Rooney: 4 Thought ages ago, that he would leave his best form in Premier League Heskey: 0 Could not score goals 5 years ago - no change then. Cole: 3 To be off-loaded by Chelsea - says it all, bye bye Cappello: 2 Sorry lad, clueless Thank goodness Carragher didn't get selected to play today - he would have got slaughtered for a performance like our two Chalves put in today. As I said previously, we have played nothing and struggled. Today, we have got hammered by an average German side. Most internationa sidesl(if not all) are no better than average to be honest.Put the World Cup winners into one of the top leagues in Europe and they wouldn't win any of them.
Kuyt ,Van Bronkhurst and Oojier for example are about to play in a World Cup s/f and probably a final.Second rate football really as this World Cup has shown.

Club footie is much better. |
