Pre season fixtures

I do belive that there is a pre season fixture this coming tuesday
but if you have a look at the other forum there is no promotion of the event, neither is there any details of any pre season games.
A Liverpool Cup Final is due in a few weeks, again No mention anywhere, one wag says "look on the Forum", yes I think I need to spend a few hours to search for the said post.
Real good promotion from the club on this one, do they not want anyone going or what
Or has Frank not got the time to do the promoting.

You're quite right; the promotion of the pre-season schedule has been poor up to now, and I must apologise for that, but unfortunately due to personal reasons I've been unable to give that particular area a great deal of time.

Having said that I have been delegating the work to others, but because they are new to the club it will take time to get into full flow.

People really must stop having this negative appoach towards me because you're aiming your energy in he wrong direction.

Bryn has been updating the pre-season schedule on a regular basis on the forum, and if anybody wants to update people on this forum they are quite at liberty to do so.

Another point whilst I'm at it so to speak. We have a new 200 club agent in the shape of Graham West, but so far the response has been poor - hence my point about wasting your energy having a dig at me. Why don't you start rallying support for something which will make a huge difference to the club. Try and be a bit more proactive rather than reactive all the time, and show your support instead of having constant jibes about someone who regardless of his current personal plight is still working extremely hard to keep this club afloat.

We know you try your best for the club.But you delegate stuff to the wrong people. You need people with more charisma ie 50 tickets could go in a factory were they work if they were popular enough.open mic nights make dates available once a month.be more accomadating in the bar.when room booked lads go home earlier dont feel comfy wit it.AND THE FINAL POINT WHY DO NONE OF THE SUPPORTERS CLUB MEMBERS STAY FOR A PINT THEY GO THE BUSY BEE OR NEVER BOTHER AT ALL.SPOT TICKETS HALF TIME AND FULL TIME 20 POUND WINNER 10 CLUB.THEY ALL ADD UP.

Still, the new season is upon us and yet no update of the appearances from 2009-10 season and no results from the end of 2007-08 !!!!!!, the Interview with a manager and Frank report are also 3 years out of date !!
Frank says he has got somebody on board to help out, that was about 6 weeks ago !!!
I think he should have realised 3 years ago he needed help to do the website and the "Proud History" of the club justice. The history from mid 70s to late 90s has mostly been lost, there was no internet in those days, there is NO excuse today !!

Neil Leathbarrow is now in charge of the website, but is having problems accessing it at the moment.

As for the updating of information that was purely coincidental.

Don't forget Kev when I started the website I wasn't heavily involved with the club so I had more time to devote to it - hence it was updated regularly... and I was a novice as well. Nothing much has changed in that department unfortunatley because I'm now heavily involved with the club.

As for delegation - my late great friend Mick Ratcliffe was going to do the website, but the deterioration in his health prevented that from happening.

Need I remind you - if it wasn't for the many years in which I have been doing the programme, website and the match reports for the local newspapers, then we'd have no archive at all.

Your messages often suggest that we have volunteers throwing themselves at us, but that's never been the case and hence is misleading.

I actually thought that your website was aimed at filling the gaps in - I gather I'm wrong?

I think thats when someone should have been brought on board.

The website I did was to "Fill in the gaps" but with no recognition from anyone at the club, nor a link to the site, It turned out a pretty pointless exerpsise on my part !!

Frank,just a suggestion , why not give Kev control of the official website full time, then he can concentrate on expanding the club history sections.
Puskas can concentrate on his newspaper match reports as he has years of experience at Burscough in that area.
btw ref puskas problem accessing the website has he tried turning his computer off and on again

Kev offered to run the website for Frank about 5 years ago,I was there when Kev asked him.For some reason though Frank never answered him.
