According to 2 locals who have seen Skem a dozen times over the past few years. This was the worst Skem side he has ever seen, and I am not on here to disagree. I had taken the game on the back of last weeks thumping of Witton and by all accounts it could have been a cricket score but Im afraid today it was woeful showing. You might hear it on the other forum about a "stonewall" penalty not given before they scored their goal, which was offside Not a word of truth, the penalty was at the most worth a shout and the "offside !!! there was a player in an offside position coming back, not interfering with play, the goalscorer ran from about 5-10 yards past the defenders NOT offside The referee cannot be blamed for Skems lack of passion, coherent passing, there was not 3 passes strung together all game, Blame the ref for the body language of the team, they looked tired and jaded. and as the locals said the worst Skem performance for a long time All this a few days after a mindless cup competition that went to extra time, What was the point !!!!!!!!!!!!! ?? there is more money from this competition rather than the Evo stik Cup, we should have sent a reserve team against them. We are already 4/5 games behind the leaders, so we are playing catch up and we know what that has caused in the past. If we have any ambition on gaining promotion this competition should have been ditched, as other evo stick or county cups or do we see it has a way of silver ware to appease some ?? At least the Trophy does have some much needed revenue behind it.

Bigman quote "According to 2 locals who have seen Skem a dozen times over the past few years. This was the worst Skem side he has ever seen".
It was only a couple of weeks ago that some on the other forum said it was the best squad they had seen over the past few years.Got to say i found that a ridiculous statement when you look at the players who have left. donnelly,Mcconville, foster, whitey, houghton, noone, birchall,McMahon, towey, etc that said i think the present squad are performing far better than i thought they would at the start of the season, but my concerns still remain i.e.too good for the lesser teams not so good against the top 8/10teams and i don't mean in meaningless cups i'm on about the bread and butter of any team the LEAGUE.
