Skem and Trafford cancelled each other out in the first 35 minutes of this game. The game was hectic, with no time on the ball in an over-crowded midfield. It all changed at the 35 minute mark, when Skem scored 3 goals in a seven minute spell. This demoralised Trafford and Skem could have scored further goals before half-time. Skem continued to dominate in the second-half, but Trafford were beginning to enjoy some space on the break. They pulled a goal back, but Skem soon regained the initiative to make it 3-1. Skem then increased the lead, when awarded a penalty for a blatant foul, that should have earned more than a yellow card. Towards the end, Ledsham went round the 'keeper, but put the ball in the side-netting, with the open goal at his mercy. Trafford got a second goal in the closing stages after a defensive lapse, but Turner got Skems fifth with a superb move, with an interchange of passes that took him through the defence, before drawing the 'keeper and slotting it past him. Skelmersdale United 5 Trafford 2 MOM rightly given as O'Donnell who was a constant threat all afternoon. A hectic encounter in the first third of the game, but once Skem scored the first there was only going to be one winner. Well worth the entrance fee, although i think that there was probably 50/60 missing today. A shame really Di Stefano

Good match report. Short and to the point with no fancy words or cliches. I like it
