I said i would give you an unbiased report so here it is.
In the first five minutes Skem had two very good chances on goal , the first one could easily be classed as a sitter.I have to say that the linesman right by the Skem following was the worst linesman i have ever seen, even on set piece plays he was never in line with Skems back four, he was always a couple of yards further back than he should of been. And it was this linesman that never flaged offside for Chesters forward who was clearly three yards offside, resulting in Ackers bringing him down inside the box and getting his marching orders. With Skem down to ten men it was always going to be difficult and i was relieved it was only one nil at halftime. In the second half it was all Chester to be honest, Chester are not the best footballing side in this league but they were a very big physical team and have quite alot of pace upfront , too much pace i'm afraid for Skems two centrehalfs. Could things have been different if either of Skems early chances had gone in or if we had finished the game with eleven men, sadly i dont think so because i think Chester would of been just a little bit too powerful for us. On this showing i think Chester will go on to win the league this year. I would say there was about one hundred Skem supporters inside our segregated section of the ground. All in all a bad result for us but a good day out at a club which will keep progressing up the non-league ladder. £1.80 for a tiny sausage roll the robbing bastards.

Thanks for the 'unbiased' report swampy. Kev, Your getting carried away with not criticizing refs. Spekkies are perfectly entitled to - its a way of letting off steam and tension that builds up in a previous week. Ex pros can slate officials, why cannot the people that put their hard-earned money into the game. There has been a massive failure by 'top' officials in football, that have created rules that lead to uncertainty, and until that is resolved there will be many more mistakes from officials that there should be. Some people choose to continually slag off their 'least favourite' player: others to slag off officials; and even some slag off their own Club officials. We are in a whinging society. That's it, end of my whinge !!!!!

I know what you're saying Derek and I agree with most of what you say, however I have yet to see the general opinion on Skem's forum that the referee is not too blame whenever they lose game. There is incompetency from ref's at all levels(I'm still fuming over a clown who gave our Sean 2 yellows playing for his Uni side 3 weeks ago),but as Kev said some Skem supporters feel that there is a conspiracy against them alone in the EvoStik, still I suppose it gives them smething to moan about after a loss!

Swampys Thanks for your report, I watched the game on Chester TV first glance it was a penalty by Akkers tackle from behind but on viwing 5/6 times it does look as though he got the ball, Still if it was the other way there would be cries of blue murder and the offender would be up for nothing short of a hanging !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand that its part and parcel of the game to criticise the men in the middle, its been going on for years However the recent comments made when Skem dont win is all about the Ref's. I tried to make my point about the premiershi.te refs with Hansen and Dixon spending an eternity viewing from all angles and still getting different opinions. The Ref will make mistakes, he gets one view of the incident. Skem are 8 divisions below that level, the Ref's are going to be at that level also, they to are going to generally make more mistake, If not they would be officiating further up the ladder.
with the comments made anyone would think that there is a conspiracy against Skem, It would just be nice to change the record occasionally and say we were well beaten on the day
The Refs in Scotland are planning strike action because of all the negative comments, that I think you would agree is the last thing we need !!! Getting the locals to do the job !!!!

I have been silently following these discussions regarding poor officials on both forums.
I don’t agree with all the negative comments regarding the officials and I think we should also be praising the good ones (there are a good number out there). I am starting to think that all the negative comments are going against us, but I have to agree with the comments regarding officials at the last two games. We all know that the officials in Skem's standard of football are doing the job, probably because they love the game, but also for the extra few quid they can earn by doing it. Unfortunately, some of them don’t appear to have the experience or be fit enough to do the job.
In the game against St Helens, one of the liners looked about 12 (probably 16 or 17), what experience did he have to officiate in this game. I understand that they have to learn, and I’m all for bringing youth into the officials set up, but surely they need to learn at a lower standard and work their way up. He missed a blatant offside, the striker went one on one with Andy Paxton, Andy handled outside the box and off he went, sending off justified, but play should not have been in that position. St Helens had foul after foul unpunished, most fouls against us were yellow carded, eventually leading to Aaron’s sending off for ranting at the ref when following a vicious challenge on Ian Latham, nothing was done.
At Chester on Saturday, the liner on our side of the pitch simply was not up to it. He was never up with play and therefore got virtually every decision regarding offside wrong (both ways). Again he missed two of their forwards clearly offside, Ackers got back to get a challenge in, brought the player down and got his marching orders. I’m not arguing with the sending off decision, but play should never have got that far. This decision can clearly be seen on the NATV site (link on other forum). This left us playing arguably the best team in the league, on their own patch with ten men.
I don’t know what standard the officials were for Saturdays game, but when the top two teams meet, with a bumper crowd expected, I don’t think that officials that are used to handling a game with 200+ spectators could be expected to officiate with out being affected. Maybe officials from a higher league should officiate at these type of games
Skem are probably one of the fittest teams in the league, this is done by hard work on training nights. I wonder how much training the officials put in.
We have now had three players sent off in the last two games, I presume all will miss 3 games, some of which will be the same games. And all because of incompetent officials.
The “Respect” programme has recently been brought into the game. People have to earn respect and this is not done through incompetence or inconsistency. Mistakes will always be made, but obvious mistakes need to be cut out.
