Skelmersdale United Football Club had tremendous support with crowds reaching between 1,000 and 1,500 during league games and increasing to several thousand during cup games. The record being 7,500 at the quarter final match against Slough Town in March 1967 with Skelmersdale United Football Club winning 1-0 .More like 9,000 they stopped giving tickets out with loads left to get in. The slough players must have been shaking with the noise level that day. ;D ;D ;D
