Anyone have any info on players that have been retained ?? or players that have been released ?? Are we going to up our budget to try to attract a slightly higher calibre of player  (Leddys Free again!!!) We have to get out of this division, there will be no Halifax to boost attendances. We cannot continue to be the nearly men, unless that is our goal !!! |

Not just at Skem Utd but all clubs in general. Still would love to see Ruddy back myself !!, rumour has it a couple of players are on the move, rumours just rumours !! So who are we going to get to replace them ?? Kris King from Leigh would be a good addition, thats if he doesnt fancy Chorley !! a la Jordan Stepien rumours, who would you like to see in ? |

I think the team was weaker last year to the team that came second to Durham or even the one that lost in the playoffs the year before. The team from 2008-2009 was by far the strongest in my opinion and should have won the league. Maybe its time for a clear out and start again as we where way behind the leaders last year.

Maybe its time for a clear out and start again as we where way behind the leaders last year. got to agree hey hey to a certain point,apart from adam birchall ,george connelly and sean McConvile going in february it was the same team.However we had a lot of injurires to key players without the quality to step up to the plate.I think we had better subs last season the likes of tom walker who could change a game and contribute with goals.Arron,Horto,whitey and fozzie were sorely missed when out of the team.correct me if im wrong but whitey and horto were the only players to get into double figures and they missed a hatfull of games compared to last season,last season george 36,horto 29,sean15,whitey 11 goals,total 91,this season,whitey 24,horto 17 goals and no other major contributers,when the key players where out we struggled in defence,midfield and upfront,there lies the problem imho.We need a quality striker to partner horto,a tough tackling no nonsense midfielder as cover for arron and a decent centre half as cover for whitey(burkie)and if fozzie is leaving bring in a quality right back.Bring in these 4 players and we would win the league without the pain of the play-offs. |

There are rumours of Fabregas moving to Barcalona, rumours of Torres joining Chelsea, rumours of Manchester Utd NOT signing anybody Its rumours, thats all Rumour has it that only a late deal last summer saw Utds star performer stay put !!! Rumour has it that Colwyn Bay want Tommy as new manager !!! Rumour has it that We are on the look out for an experienced striker, Ferns from Chorley ?? or Eastwood BBridge ?? Fit the bill quite nicely. Rumour has it that a couple of young Everton Res players could come on short term loans. rumours, good enough for Chelsea good enough for Skem |

Whitey and Armstrong off to Chester, you heard it first here that Whitey was on his way, apparently only a last minute deal kept him at the club last season, also listed here first Houghton to Chorley. as Frank says " You heard it first on the other forum so it must be true! Whatever the truth is the squad will be strengthened and not weakened - fact not fiction!!!" losing your top scorers from last season, your TOP defender is as I see it not strengthening but weakening and Who will be next. Mcmahon? , will there be anyone left |

and Who will be next. Mcmahon?, will there be anyone left Kevin, You can't assume that, until you know just who is coming and who is going. ps - I thought that the transfer window was still shut for all Clubs, no Anyway back to the cricket !!!! |
